MUSIC THERAPY AND AUTISM
Music therapists use music to trigger communication responses, teach turn taking skills, reinforce academic skills, and introduce instruments and music for appropriate expression of feelings.
Specially designed programs elicit targeted responses and group participation leads to improved social skills. Hands on experiences are provided in a structured environment and each program is individualized for music making and lots of interaction.
