MUSIC THERAPY SERVICES OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY

Music Therapy Services of Central Kentucky (MTSCK) provides music therapy services for children and adults throughout Kentucky. Board-certified music therapists (MT-BCs) work to reduce pain and anxiety in medical settings, create pathways of learning for children in school settings, improve overall health in wellness programs, and enhance social and cognitive skills for adults in memory care.

Services are provided for individuals and groups; in homes, schools, and care facilities.

To make a referral or request music therapy services, contact Paula Roberts, MT-BC, at probertsmtbc@insightbb.com

Lorinda Jones, MA, MT-BC, is the co-owner of MTSCK. She holds degrees in music education and counseling along a music therapy board certification from Tennessee Technological University. After 13 years of teaching public school music, Lorinda completed her music therapy training and began contract services in Hardin and surrounding counties. She is an active member of the state and regional music therapy organizations and has presented workshops at state, regional, and national music therapy and music education conferences.

The music therapists providing services for MTSCK have met the national requirements for music therapy training and board certification. MTSCK therapists supervise and mentor music therapy students completing undergraduate fieldwork and internship requirements.
